RE: Tyson McConnell’s letter. While I sympathize with the Haitians and agree that action is required, my question is, why would we need to send them money? You can’t eat it, drink it or wear it. I suppose they could use it for toilet paper. But then again, why not send toilet paper? What we need to send is food, clothing, medicine. Contributing money is the laziest way of helping. People are dying and all we are concerned with is sending money? That’s insane! We must share the things they need immediately. Money is not on that list.
